Ramstar Games - Scrolls & Daggers - Scenario 1

Created by Ramstar Games

We have lovingly designed a set of hard enamel pins to capture and give salute to all the amazing world building, character creation, and role-playing games we've enjoyed over the years. Specifically, we're paying homage to Dungeons & Dragons first, one of the most robust and enduring RPG games and gaming systems of all time! This is Scenario 1 for Ramstar Games and includes The Fighter, The Rogue and the The Ranger character class pins from Dungeons & Dragons. Stay up to date about our next Kickstarter campaign for Scenario 2! coming in early 2022 by signing up for our newsletter at www.ramstargames.com/our-email-list/ Only backers will get our exclusive stretch goals and Kickstarter pricing. Don't miss out!

The Scoop on the Fighter Pin!
over 2 years ago – Thu, Oct 28, 2021 at 07:51:01 AM

Welcome! You are brave! You are bold! You're the first into the fray and the last one to leave the field of battle. Honour, thy class is Fighter!

This is the very first pin that we began our design journey with when we decided to go down this road of enamel pin shenanigans. And it was really quite something for me (Sean) being new to Procreate and the iPad and learning how to express myself in a graphic way after decades of perfecting my high realism technique.

Quite a difference, eh?

The design went through many stages. It started with a D20 at its center. In fact, the original concept would have seen EVERY pin design in the series with a D20 at its heart. However, it was decided that using each character class's specific Hit Die would be a better design choice. So the D20 became a D10. Those fighters sure can deal out some damage!

After that we played with what visual elements would express the ethos of a fighter the best, and we decided that going with tradition was the best way forward: a sword and shield, and when all else fails, a fist for good measure!

This was also the first design to have a purely graphic totem-like image placed in it as well. Initially, I was looking for a way to balance the design. I wasn't sure what form it would take.  I played around with it until it took on the form of a monstrous skull with spiked teeth, in essence the trophy of any good Fighter! Take that you monsters from the pit!

Ultimately, all the design elements came together to create not only a cohesive and unified design but an image of valour, justice and hard won victory; the essence of a Fighter! Wear this pin with pride.

For now that is all,

Rockin!

—Sean

P.S. thank you to all of you who have pledged so far :) Your faith and support mean the world to us! Once we get this kickstarter under our belts, we'll have more pin campaigns coming so stay tuned.

Also, I have a small favour to ask.

If you'd be willing, would you copy this image and send it out across your socials? Letting others know that you've investigated this campaign and found it worth supporting goes a long way to bringing the right kind of eyes to our campaign as it continues. Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

62% Funded So Far!!! :)
over 2 years ago – Mon, Oct 25, 2021 at 01:33:58 PM

Hi Everyone,

First off,  a huge thank you to all of you who have supported our campaign so far. We're currently sitting at 62% funded. Whoop!

It's a nice place to be this early in the campaign. As a thank you, here's a sample of our Scrolls & Daggers 'toon featuring Sabrina's artwork. Humour compliments of Ramstar Games.

We had planned to do a live event tonight, but we're doing a meeting instead to discuss new promotional strategies as well as fulfill our fist orders for the sticker packs we sell.  We will do a live event soon, and you'll be the first to know.

In the meantime, we hope you can help give us a hand spreading the word on social media to all your friends who love D&D and/or enamel pins.

We're on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and Kit's on Reddit

That's it for now.

All the best,

—Sean, Kit, & Sabrina

Wow! Such a Great Day for Pledges!
over 2 years ago – Fri, Oct 22, 2021 at 03:51:57 PM

Hi Everyone,

Kit here.

Another quick update. We're at 42% funded. Whoop!

We'd love to get to 50% funded before the end of our first 24 hours, and it may very well be possible at this rate. We've been sending out personal thank you's to everyone who's pledged and still have a few more to send out.

This afternoon, after a technical snafu, Sabrina managed to live stream a drawing session. If you missed out, that's okay, the video is available to watch on our Facebook Page.

I meant to participate in the conversation but due to the software not picking up my audio, I told Sabrina to go ahead solo, and I would join in by typing in the comments section. I may have got delegated to silent mode but fingers did a lot of talking. Thank you technology.

At 7pm tonight, Sabrina, Sean and myself will be having another live stream event: a casual gab session. We hope you can join us. We'll be livestreaming on our Ramstar Games Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RamstarGames

That's it for now.

Must get ready for the livestream.

Welcome Adventurers!
over 2 years ago – Fri, Oct 22, 2021 at 09:53:41 AM

Hi Adventurers,

We're running a little slow with welcoming everyone to our Scrolls & Daggers Kickstarter. But here it is. Welcome!!!

We've started off with a nice steady roll in of pledges this morning and are pleased to say that we have reached 26% funding so far.

Kit's been monitoring the Kickstarter since early this morning, while Sean works his regular job and Sabrina contends with freelance work and personal errands.

The good news is Sabrina and Kit will be doing a live event, in less than ten minutes.

Sabrina will be doing some drawing at 1 pm EST, and I'll be keeping her company with conversation. Please join us at The Ramstar Games facebook page by clicking here: https://www.facebook.com/RamstarGames

Also, we'll be doing another live event this evening, time to be announced.

For those of you who backed already, here's a little something for you to share around social media if you'd like. And thanks for your support.

That's it for now.

—Sean, Kit, & Sabrina
