To all Backers who Reside in the US,
If you haven't filled out your survey and sent it to us, we're asking you to wait 24 hours before filling them out. There was a miscommunication about our shipping fees when the Shipping Profiles were set up in BackerKit. All residents of Canada AND the US should only be charged $10 for shipping.
If you've already filled out your survey, live in the US, and were billed $15, we will refund the differenc of $5 as soon as we can.
We deeply appreciate your patience.

Surveys are On Their Way!

Hello Adventurers!
This is a short update.
All surveys were officially sent out less than 5 minutes ago. We look forward to learning even more about BackerKit as surveys are completed.
Sean has finished the tweaks on the pins and they are so minor that Kit had a hard time telling what had changed. Tomorrow, Kit will start prepping the pin design templates with a blank legend, then pass it along to Sabrina, who will double-check and adjust the Pantone colours using our brand new, snazzy Pantone Colours pallette, which came arrived today.
Perhaps by Monday, we'll be ready to start sending the designs to manufactuers for quotes. :)

Hello Adventurers!
The good news is that BackerKit is currently under review, which means surveys will be going out very soon. We're thrilled about our progress, a little googly-eyed from figuring it all out, and one step closer to seeing the first Scenario of Scrolls & Daggers pins get made.
The pre-order store is officially up and running for anyone who missed out on the campaign. If you know someone who missed out on the campaign, be sure to send them this link:

If something in the pre-order store has caught your eye or you'd like to order additional pins, we ask you to be patient. The option to buy more pins will be available to Backers in the Add On section of your survey. The Add On pins are being offered at the same price in our Kickstarter campaign. :)
This past week we also finished up some minor tweaks with the pin designs, mostly details or areas that we thought might be problematic and produce more B-grades than A-grades during manufacturing. This means these pins will look even more snazzy once they're made. Seriously, we're at the beginning of the manufacturing phase and to be at this stage of the project is exciting. :)
We're waiting on a pantone colour chart to arrive, hopefully in the next day or two, so we can make sure the colours we select look wonderful in real life. It's amazing how real life Pantone colours look differently than digitally displayed Pantone colours, and we don't want any surprises when the finished pins arrive. We want to make sure these pins are treasure-worthy for you.
We have several manufacturers lined up that we've been in contact with but still need to research to make sure they are top quality. We hope to start requesting quotes sometime closer to the end of this week or the beginning of next week. Our goal is to have a manufacturer selected and our pins ordered before the end of December.

A BackerKit Update!

Hi Backers,
We meant to udpate you last week. Unfortunately, unforeseen events slowed us down when it came to getting BackerKit set up and launched. One of them was Black Friday/Cybermonday which we completely forgot about. Our poor Etsy shop was like, What they hay, guys! I've got merchandise to sell. So we scrambled to design a Black Friday sale image, mark down our items, and get the word around.
Once our Etsy shop sale finished, we learned about a great opportunity to submit unpublished board games to the Ion Awards, so everything except our day jobs got dropped for a while to put together a pitch package for our bee board game.
The pitch package included a 6-minute pitch video, a revised rule book, pictures of the game set up, and a 500-word summary of the game. The packaged needed to be submitted by December 1st. We submitted our application with a day to spare. Now that's team work! :)
Before the distractions descended on us, though, we did start on BackerKit a couple days after the Kickstarter funded. Immediately we experienced technical difficulties syncing our BackerKit account with our Kickstarter campaign. Perhaps we've been doing too much these past couple of weeks; perhaps it's the onset of winter making our brains begin to shut down, who knows, but the sudden obstacle kind of knocked the wind out of some of our sails.
The good news is we eventually sorted out the problem. The accounts are linked and working fine now. We're underway getting pledge tier surveys put together and sorting out the <cringe> shipping for the add-ons, not to mention all the other finer details of the platform.
BackerKit is new to us, but we're figuring it out and we ask for your patience as we finish setting it up. There's a lot more to it than we initially thought, and we'd like to make sure everything is functioning as it should.
We expect more progress in the upcoming week, and will update you soon. Oh, and be prepared for the next installment of the Scrolls & Daggers web comic.

Our Final Stretch Goal Is Unlocked!!!!

OMG! Everyone...
We did it! With your unwavering support, we've unlocked our final stretch goal. This means all Backers who pledged one of the pin tiers will receive a FREE Scrolls & Daggers Kickstarter exclusive mini pin.
A few new Backers stepped forward to contribute to the campain during today, but what really surprised us was the number of existing Backers who upgraded their pledges. Your generosity has completely blown us away.
The Ramstars are celebrating early this evening, even though we still have less than an hour to go before the campaign ends. Once it does, we will officially be entering new territory. This is our first successful campaign, and soon we'll begin the process of initiating BackerKit and learning their platform.
Wow! Just wow! We're thrilled and deeply grateful. :)
We're not sure what other surprises await us moving forward, but we're ready for them.
It's about 11pm, and here's where we stand: 133% funded, 43 backers, $2,006 raised.
